If you love this movie and this character, this guide should give you a lot of excitement!
How to Draw Snow White
Step 1
In this first step of our tutorial on how to draw Snow White, we’ll start with her head and face. To begin with her face, you should start with the outline of her face, which you can draw with a curved line. Next, we’ll add the design of her hairstyle. Your hairstyle is quite complex, so for this part, you should do your best to replicate the lines precisely as they appear in the reference image.
We will also tie a little bow in her hair, so don’t forget to add it! Once you are done with these outlines and have added her wide collar, let’s add her eyes. They will be relatively large and somewhat closed, giving them a wistful expression.
Step 2
Now that you’ve completed her head, we can move on to the outfit she’s wearing. The sleeves of her dress are pretty big and puffy, and you can draw them with some curved lines.
The chest of her dress can be drawn with some more wavy lines going down, and there will also be a line going down the middle. The reference image also shows you how to detail the sleeves and dress.
Step 3
Now, in this step of our tutorial on how to draw Snow White, we will remove her arms and the beginning of her skirt. Her arms will protrude from the openings left in the sleeves and can be drawn with a few simple lines.
Her hands will support the skirt of her dress to make it look like she is bowing. Let’s draw the skirt with some wavy lines, as shown in our example. We’ll add more to this skirt in the next few steps, so let’s move on when you’re ready!
Step 4
This fourth step of your Snow White drawing will probably be the most complicated in this guide! It is because we will be designing her skirt to flow around her, and drawing a flowy fabric can be tricky. That doesn’t mean it’s impossible, and as long as you take it slow and follow the picture closely, you’ll make it!
Referencing and copying the reference image, start extending the wavy lines down from the beginning of the skirt you started in the previous step. You can also simplify some lines and shapes if you’re having a little trouble. It would still examine right even if you do!
Step 5
After a somewhat challenging step in this Snow White drawing guide, we’ll keep it more straightforward in this fifth step when drawing the final details. First, you can remove some flounce details on the bottom of her skirt in the areas we show in our reference image. So you can draw her feet in shoes with small bows under her dress.
Once you’re done with those final details, feel free to add some of your elements and style to this image. You could draw a background to show your favorite scene from the movie or maybe surround it with some animals or some of the 7 dwarfs. These are some ideas, but what do you think this drawing would have?
Step 6
For this final part of your Snow White drawing, we’re going to finish it with some color. In our reference image, we stuck to the colors we see in the film. That means soft yellows for the skirt and blues with red detailing on the top half of the dress.
Then we ended up with some black for her hair with some pink for the bow. You can follow this reference image to make it match the movie, or you can change the colors a bit!
